Kaspar Returns To Terminal M With Imagination EP

One of the most exciting young artists to emerge from Germany’s techno scene, Kaspar, makes his grand return to Monika Kruse’s esteemed Terminal M imprint for the release of his brand-new EP, Imagination. Having only been active on the circuit since 2019, the fast-rising newcomer has already become a firm favourite for the iconic label through extended players ‘Aither’ and ‘Valhalla’, as well as inclusions on the imprint’s ‘Bangers Vol. 5, 7 and 8’ compilations.

Kaspar’s latest two-tracker is a masterclass in crisp, impactful techno that warmly welcomes the influence of his local club scene. Anthemic synth work and high-octane percussion set the tone for its title track Imagination, which unfolds through an enticing break and heady melodic riffs to reveal a cut that’s primed for both festival mainstages and intimate club spaces alike. The EPs second offering, Cycle Of Life, is another peak-time worthy cut that champions all of the sensibilities we’ve come to know and love from Kaspar’s flourishing catalogue.

A staunch contributor since his arrival on the circuit just a few short years ago, Kaspar was quickly recognised by leading imprints Kraftek, Fe Chrome and Natura Viva before joining Terminal M’s A-list roster. His music represents refined, fast-paced techno with an emotive, melodic-leaning edge. His 2020-released single ‘Nova’ became a worldwide hit, gaining over 5 million streams and paving the way for the immense success of his collaboration with A*S*Y*S on ‘Injection’. The track resumed a No.1 position in Beatport’s Peak-Time Techno Chart in the weeks following its release and still stands as one of his biggest accolades to date. On the performance front, Kaspar has graced the decks of some of techno’s most renowned clubs, including EGG (London), Kite (Turkey) and Sisyphos (Berlin), as well as joining the lineups of festivals Nature One and Ruhr In Love.

John Digweed announces new album Futuro with 25 exclusive tracks

The UK legend’s carefully curated upcoming LP gets a thrilling introduction by dropping 2 single releases from the album

John Digweed has announced his upcoming album Futuro, setting the tone with lead single ‘Lectrobee’ from UK acid house innovator Bushwacka, out via Bedrock Records on 29th September, quickly followed by John Digweed, Nick Muir and Captain Mustache’s highly anticipated record ‘Bleu Cobalt’ on 6th October.

Futuro, set for release on November 17th, sees John Digweed bringing together an all-star arsenal of synth-drenched acid house. Featuring 25 exclusive tracks from luminary artists such as David Morales, Rodriguez Jr, Bushwacka, Marco Bailey, the album has been carefully curated and compiled and mixed by the UK legend himself.

Bushwacka’s ‘Lectrobee’, dropping as lead single from the album on 29th September, whets the appetite with an enthralling synth-driven breakbeat. A second single, John Digweed, Nick Muir and Captain Mustache’s uptempo futuristic heater ‘Bleu Cobalt’, is also set for release on 6th October as anticipation for the album intensifies.

The release continues a typically industrious year for John Digweed. Having recently released the EP Tripchain / Scanalatura with Frankie Wah and Nick Muir, as well as celebrating 25 years of Bedrock with a day party at XOYO London on 1st October to coincide with his 1000th Transitions Radio show, the UK legend is as vital as ever.

John Digweed is a DJ’s DJ. The beauty of what he does lies in just how different he really is from his contemporaries. From his early beginnings in the blossoming scene of acid house to the apex of the international DJ’ing world he has created and maintained a level of integrity that is the benchmark for both dj’s and producers globally. In fact, he has reached the very top of his profession, being voted #1 in a voter’s poll by DJ Magazine in 2001.

His list of achievements is groundbreaking to say the least. Highlights of which would be the first official DJ mix compilation (“The Mix Collection”, with Sasha), being the first British DJ to hold a residency at what was then the world’s most well known club in NYC Twilo as well as having remixed some of the biggest bands alongside studio partner Nick Muir. Over 60 official Mix CD compilations released and coming up to 1000 Transitions worldwide Weekly radio shows, reaching over 14 million a week in over 60 countries a real testament to John commitment to showcasing new music every.

Futuro is another forward-thinking release from John Digweed, making the most of a roster of stellar artists and collaborators. 17th November can’t come soon enough.

Kölsch announces new album I Talk To Water with uplifting new single ‘An Amazing’

Danish house and techno phenomenon Kölsch is back with a bang on rousing new single ‘An Amazing’, out on 15th September via Kompakt.

Setting the tone for Kölsch’s upcoming album I Talk To Water, to be released on 27th October, ‘An Amazing’ is an electrifying uptempo groove decorated with sublime synth melodies and a delicate vocal line repeating the simple yet powerful central hook: “you’re an amazing”. A rousing, emotional banger, this is a tantalising glimpse into Kölsch’s next LP.

Kölsch is set to grace the release of I Talk To Water with a global tour, spanning Europe, South America and the United States, as well as festivals including Tomorrowland Brazil, Art of the Wild  and Amsterdam ADE.

Kölsch’s fifth album for Kompakt, I Talk To Water, is an intimate, deep-dive narrative that interweaves themes of family and history, whilst acknowledging the process of turning grief into comfort. The core of the album is inspired by Kölsch’s father Patrick Reilly, who passed away in 2003. Tracks Grape, Tell Me and It Ends Where It Began, alluse recordings from Kölsch’s father, who was a touring musician during the sixties and seventies. Pieced together during the pandemic and its numerous lockdowns, the tranquility of this moment inspired Kölsch to reflect on his father’s passing, and how he could memorialise such a significant figure in his life. Delving into a wave of sentimental emotions, I Talk To Water began to bloom. The recordings used in the project provided a gateway for Kölsch, to unite both the past and present in a meaningful way, allowing him to create his most personal body of work yet.

Kölsch, real name Rune Reilly Kølsch, is a Copenhagen, Denmark-based house and techno producer who has sold millions of records all over the world. He began in the 2010s producing numerous volumes of Kompakt\\\’s Speicher series, as well as the critically acclaimed album trilogy 1977, 1983 and 1989, which continued his tradition of ground breaking and genre defining cuts. Mega hit Grey taken from 1989, has accumulated a colossal 49 million streams on Spotify. Later in the decade, he founded his own Ipso label and released collaborations with Michael Mayer, Tiga, and Sasha, in addition to releasing a continuous mix of original material on Fabric in 2019. The lushly orchestrated Now Here No Where (2020) marked his return to Kompakt.

With the full length album I Talk To Water on the way this October 27th, ‘An Amazing’ whets the appetite for fans of Kölsch’s melodic, emotionally charged techno.
